The SiGMA Asia Summit 2026 will open in Manila on Tuesday, with Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco scheduled to deliver the opening keynote address at the SMX Convention Center.
The event is expected to bring together more than 16,000 delegates, including global operators, regulators, affiliates, suppliers, startups, and investors, for a program covering conferences, exhibitions, networking events, startup pitches, and awards ceremonies.
Tengco’s address is expected to be one of the main moments of the opening ceremony, giving delegates direct insight from the regulator overseeing one of Asia’s most closely followed gaming markets.
His leadership at PAGCOR has covered regulatory strengthening, compliance with existing legislation, sustainable growth across terrestrial and online gaming venues, and efforts to position the Philippines as a regional center for gaming and technology companies.
The opening ceremony will also include remarks from Maria Rachel Jimenez Arenas, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Philippines. SiGMA Founder Eman Pulis will welcome delegates attending the summit.
The summit will give attendees insights on the Asian sports gaming and new technology sectors, offering industry participants a platform to discuss market developments, regulation, investment, and technology trends.
Tengco’s participation comes as the Philippines continues to present itself as a leading gaming jurisdiction in Asia, with the country playing a key part in regional discussions on regulation, innovation, and long-term industry growth.
