The Oklahoma City Thunder host the Phoenix Suns in Game 2 of their Western Conference First Round series Wednesday night. Tip-off is scheduled from the Paycom Center for 6:30 PM PT / 9:30 PM ET on ESPN in the United States and Rogers Sportsnet in Canada. The NBA odds have the Thunder as huge favorites following their 35 point blowout in Game 1.
Below, I’ll lay out my favorite bets for tonight’s clash, along with a player prop bet to take advantage of as the Suns fight to avoid going down 2-0 to the NBA Championship odds favorite Thunder.
Suns vs Thunder Picks & Predictions
- Against the Spread: Oklahoma City Thunder -17.5 (-105 at BetMGM)
- Best Player Prop: Devin Booker Over 22.5 Points (-115 at DraftKings)
The Thunder are 14-3 against opponents with a winning record over their last 17 games, and have won eight of their last ten games by at least 18 points. I throw away the final two regular season games (including a 32 point loss to the Suns), because OKC was resting players. Meanwhile, Phoenix is a dismal 1-4 ATS as an underdog over their last 5 skirmishes. They’ll also dropped eleven of 17 overall and three of the last four of those have been by at least 20 points.
Because the Suns lack reliable secondary scoring, Booker is forced to shoulder a massive workload. He recorded a 31.1% usage rate in Game 1, taking 17 shot attempts to scrape together 23 points. While the overall offense is struggling, Booker’s sheer volume and necessity to keep his team afloat make his over 22.5 point total intriguing. He’s gone over that number in seven of ten overall affairs, and his last two outings on the campaign versus OKC.
Suns vs Thunder Game 2 Odds
Odds as of April 22, 2026, at 1:13 PM ET. Check out the full list of DraftKings deposit methods before betting on Suns vs Thunder.
Entering Game 2, the betting lines heavily reflect Oklahoma City’s dominant 35-point Game 1 showing. Laying 17.5 points is a staggering spread for an NBA playoff affair, illustrating the vast disparity between the league-leading offensive execution of the home side and the visitors.
A $100 wager on the heavily favored Thunder (-2100) would yield a minuscule profit of just $5, resulting in a total payout of $105. On the flip side, placing that same $100 bet on the underdog Suns (+1100) offers a victory generating a whopping $1100 in profit, bringing the total payout to $1200.
Suns vs Thunder Betting Splits
Spread Market: For the NBA public betting trends, bettors are not shying away from backing the home favorites despite the massive number. Oklahoma City currently commands 57% of the betting tickets ATS, despite the hefty -17.5 line.
Moneyline Market: The straight-up market paints a lopsided picture, with 78% of the tickets on the Thunder, but interestingly 85% of the handle on the underdog Suns with the public hoping for an epic upset.
Game Total Market: The public historically loves rooting for points, and 82% of the betting tickets are hammering the Over. The handle tells the exact same story, with 80% of the money banking on a high-scoring duel.
