Prediction market operator ProphetX and tracking and social analytics platform Pikkit have signed an agreement to bring CFTC-regulated sports event contracts to Pikkit’s trading community.

ProphetX is a designated contract market and derivatives clearing organization under the US CFTC, built for sports prediction markets. Pikkit is a platform used by thousands of sports fans to sync activity across more than 30 platforms and daily fantasy sites.

The agreement connects Pikkit’s user base directly to ProphetX’s prediction market exchange. Traders on Pikkit, who already track their performance and compare probabilities across platforms, will gain a route to trade event contracts tied to real-world sports outcomes.

Coverage extends from game results and player props to season-long futures, with contracts available through the Pikkit platform and run entirely on ProphetX’s CFTC-regulated infrastructure.

ProphetX operates as a two-sided exchange rather than a traditional sportsbook. Buyers and sellers set prices between themselves, trades clear as CFTC-regulated derivatives contracts, and pricing comes from market participants instead of a bookmaker.

Pikkit’s community is made up of the most engaged traders in the country — people who track every result and know exactly where their edge comes from. That’s exactly who prediction markets were built for,” said Jake Benzaquen, co-founder and chief commercial officer of ProphetX.

Partnering with Pikkit gives that community direct access to a federal exchange where the crowd sets the price and every participant competes on a level playing field, instead of against the house.”

Our users are already doing the work — tracking their trades and comparing venues to find the best price. Prediction markets are the logical next step for a community this data-driven,” said Pranav Tadikonda, co-founder and co-CEO of Pikkit.

ProphetX gives us a regulated, exchange-based way to put that analysis to work, and we’re excited to bring it to the traders who’ve made Pikkit their home base.”

Trading through the Pikkit integration will be limited to eligible users in applicable US jurisdictions. Initial market coverage includes the NFL, NBA and international soccer, with additional contracts to be added over time.

All trades will execute on ProphetX’s CFTC-regulated exchange and clear through its registered derivatives clearing organization. The companies plan to launch the integration before the start of the NFL season.
