Las Vegas Strip

A Las Vegas poker player is facing charges in Nevada for allegedly running an illegal brothel from her home and laundering money from the operation.

Court filings reviewed by PokerNews show that Bing Du was charged on Oct. 15 with six felonies, including earning from a prostitute and encouraging a brothel.

Local station KLAS 8 News Now reported that police described Du as a “high-rated poker player” and arrested her during a poker tournament at a Strip casino.

According to KLAS 8 News Now, Metro police investigating suspected prostitution observed “men arriving at the residence (of Du) and leaving after staying 30 minutes to an hour.” An undercover officer was reportedly offered a massage and sex for $200.

Police later searched the property in Spring Valley and found various rooms with mattresses and business cards reading, “Asian beauties for discreet gentleman.” They also searched the trash and found “large amounts of used condoms” and other evidence that the residence was “operating as an illegal brothel.”

When police interviewed Du, she denied wrongdoing and said she was paid to “basically turn a blind eye on what the tendants were doing at the residence,” KLAS 8 News Now reported.

Though police referred to Du as a “high-rated poker player,” she only shows $3,771 in Hendon Mob earnings, most recently cashing in a $250 PokerNews Daily Deepstacks event at the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP).

Nevada Secretary of State records show Du listed as the managing member of the Las Vegas business “Scooby-Du LLC,” which formed in August 2024.

Du made an initial court appearance on Oct. 16 and was released after posting bail, according to court filings.
