Shannon Elizabeth

Actress and poker player Shannon Elizabeth has $247,851 in career poker earnings, but the but the American Pie star may have stumbled into a significantly more lucrative gig.

PokerNews recently interviewed Elizabeth in Las Vegas about a charity poker tournament she will host this summer. During that interview, Elizabeth also spoke about her decision to launch an OnlyFans account and how her first week went on the subscription-based platform — which a source told People brought in “more than 7 figures,” a claim PokerNews confirmed is accurate.

“So Far, So Good”

When PokerNews interviewed Elizabeth at Venetian Las Vegas on April 23, she was a week into her content creation journey, which she said has “been a really fun ride.”

“I’ve only been doing it a week so far. But so far, so good. It’s been amazing.”

Elizabeth became a beauty symbol after her role in the raunchy 1999 comedy American Pie as Nadia, a foreign exchange student and love interest of Jason Biggs’ character. Two and a half decades later, Elizabeth told PokerNews she decided to become a content creator to stay connected to the fans who have supported her over the years.

“It gets me closer to my fans,” said Elizabeth, who also starred in films like Scary Movie and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. “When I do my Comi-Con-type appearances, I’ve realized how much the fans mean to me and support me. And I just thought that this was a way that I could connect with them more and get closer to them.”

The flexibility is another big plus for Elizabeth, who in addition to hosting her Rhino Rumble charity poker tournament in Las Vegas this summer, is busy expanding her Khusela Endangered Wildlife Sanctuary in South Africa.

“It’s something that I could do from overseas as well. I can do it anywhere I travel.”

For Her Fans

“For me, it wasn’t really about reclaiming any control. That was put out there …. But for me, it’s all about the fans.”

When Elizabeth announced her content career, some of the news coverage focused on her reclaiming the narrative after years of having her career determined by Hollywood. People quoted her as saying that she has “spent my entire career working in Hollywood, where other people controlled the narrative and the outcome of my career.”

But Elizabeth said her foray into content creation is really all about connecting with her fans.

“For me, it wasn’t really about reclaiming any control,” she said. “That was put out there …. But for me, it’s all about the fans. That’s really what it is and that kind of drives everything.”

Elizabeth, a longtime poker player, appeared as a guest on the PokerNews Life Outside Poker Podcast at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP), where she talked about her biggest Hollywood roles, getting into poker, starting her wildlife nonprofit and more.
