Jared Bleznick Sports Cards

Jared Bleznick, a high-stakes poker player and owner of Blez Sports, acquired and sold one of the most coveted sports cards on the market for a hefty profit.

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner shared some brief details about a recent sale he made for $1.5 million on a card he originally purchased for $1 million. That card, you ask? A 2023-2024 Topps Chrome Superfractor rookie autograph one-of-one Victor Wembanyama.

Wembanyama (“Wemby”), a third-year NBA superstar for the San Antonio Spurs, is one of the top under-25 basketball players ever. The French forward averaged 25 points and 11.5 rebounds per game during the 2025-2026 NBA season, and has the Spurs among the favorites to make and win the NBA Finals in a couple months.

Wemby’s card market has been sizzling hot since his 2023-2024 rookie season. The 22-year-old versatile scorer is arguably the most coveted player that sports card collectors chase. There are dozens of Wemby cards that have gone for five and six-figure amounts at auction, including a 2025-2026 Topps Chrome Superfractor 1/1 autograph that sold for $488,000 last month through Goldin Auctions. But Bleznick, the most enthusiastic sports card hobbyist in poker, more than one-upped that sale.

The Miz, gearing up for Wrestlemania in Las Vegas this weekend, stopped by the Blez Sports studio for some content with Bleznick, a sports card breaker and collector. During that conversation, Blez, aka “Backer,” told the wrestler about the Wembanyama card he recently sold for a $500,000 profit.

Bleznick publicly called for the individual who pulled the Wemby rookie autograph card to sell it to him for $1 million. He would get his wish, and the purchase turned out to be a wise decision.

The 2023-2024 Topps Chrome set was the first NBA release from the iconic sports card brand in years. But it was an unlicensed product due to Panini, not Topps, having the NBA licensing at the time. That’s all changed in recent months with Topps now taking over the license, leaving Panini stuck with having to sell unlicensed products, meaning the cards they produce can’t show team logos, making most cards less desirable to collectors.

The 2025-2026 Topps Chrome autograph card, which sold at auction, was the first licensed Wembanyama autograph. Although the Blez-sold card wasn’t of the licensed variety, rookie cards are almost always the most coveted and valuable, especially a one-of-one.

The recent sale is the 22nd most expensive basketball card ever sold, according to an article from Hoops Hype. A 2007 Upper Deck Dual Logoman Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan card sold for a record $12,932,000 in August 2025.

Bleznick co-owns Las Vegas-based Blez Sports, one of the largest and most well-known sports card breaking companies in the U.S. Blez Sports livestreams on YouTube daily, giving collectors an opportunity to chase big cards such as Wembanyama autographs.

The sports card investor is also a top-notch high-stakes poker player. Bleznick won a WSOP bracelet in 2024 when he took down the $50,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em for a career-best $2,037,947. His total live tournament cashes exceed $10 million, according to The Hendon Mob database.
