The surging Chicago Cubs — winners of 11 of their last 14 — look to continue their upward trajectory as they continue their series Wednesday against the Baltimore Orioles.

Despite beating Baltimore in the opener 5-2, and the Orioles winning just four of its last 12, the sportsbooks like the home team in this one, setting them as betting favorites in the MLB odds.

Action gets underway at 6:35pm ET from Oriole Park at Camden Yards, in a game that can be seen live nationally on MLB TV.

Baltimore opens as -130 favorites in the moneyline, while the Cubbies are pegged as +110 underdogs, with all odds from bet365.

As for the total, we’ve got some variance: Over bettors should look at bet365, where the line is set at 9.0 runs. Under bettors, however, will likely prefer FanDuel, where the line is et at 9.5 runs, with -124 odds.

CHI Cubs vs BAL Orioles Prediction

Looking at the MLB probable pitchers, Baltimore turns to Dean Kremer, who has posted a 3.18 ERA, a 0.88 WHIP, and 10.59 strikeouts per nine innings over 17.0 frames.

Chicago counters with veteran Colin Rea. While Rea has eaten up 89.1 innings, his 4.74 ERA and 1.43 WHIP indicate he is susceptible to traffic on the basepaths.

Rea’s elevated WHIP should allow Baltimore’s power hitters to generate scoring chances before handing the ball over to a Baltimore bullpen carrying a 4.26 collective ERA.

Looking at localized splits, Chicago pushes across more runs per game on the road (5.02) than Baltimore does in their home ballpark (4.81). The Cubs steal 0.80 bases per away game, giving them a distinct speed advantage over Baltimore, who struggles to swipe bags at home (0.51 per game).

However, the Orioles mash the baseball at Camden Yards. They boast an impressive 89.0 mph average exit velocity that ties for 4th in the league at home. Chicago’s road exit velocity lags significantly behind at 87.9 mph.

The Cubs might be entering Oriole Park at Camden Yards as road underdogs, but their offensive profile makes them an appealing value pick. Chicago boasts a .747 team OPS compared to Baltimore’s .714.

With star contributors like Pete Crow-Armstrong and Ian Happ leading the charge, taking the Cubs moneyline offers excellent value. Kalshi prices a Chicago victory at 48¢, yielding an implied +108 payout that beats standard sportsbook lines.

When evaluating the total, my official pick is Over 9.5 runs. Kalshi offers the “Yes” at 48¢ (+108), providing a better return than traditional sportsbooks.

Cubs vs Orioles Props

Pete Alonso To Record an RBI (+120 at FanDuel): The Orioles slugger has tallied 60 RBIs and 19 home runs. Going against Rea, who allows 9.47 hits per nine innings, Alonso will have ample opportunities with runners on base to knock one in.

Gunnar Henderson To Record 2+ Total Bases (-125 at FanDuel): Henderson is a foundational piece of the Baltimore offense. Given Rea’s struggles to keep hitters off the bases, backing Henderson to secure two or more total bases is a sharp angle to exploit.
