Regulating the Game has announced a new four-tier partnership structure for its 2027 Sydney program, aimed at giving sponsors clearer alignment with the conference and awards gala.

The new framework, comprising Principal Partner, Signature Partners, Pillar Partners, and Activation Partners, has been developed following strong engagement in the 2026 program and reflects the continued growth of the conference and its associated initiatives, including the RTG Global Awards.

The 2027 edition of Regulating the Game 2027 will run from 8–10 March 2027 at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, with the RTG Global Awards scheduled for 9 March.

Organisers said the revised partnership architecture is designed to provide a clearer “line of sight” between partner investment and program value, mapping directly to how delegates experience the event—from the opening sessions and Pitch! showcase through to the awards gala and closing discussions.

The structure aims to reduce overlap between sponsorship offerings while sharpening category positioning and improving measurable outcomes for partners.

The RTG Global Awards will expand from six to twelve categories in 2027, adding new recognitions such as Black Market Disruption Initiative, Sport & Wagering Integrity Initiative, Research Impact, Gambling Harm Prevention Campaign, Compliance Advisory, and Distinguished Contribution.

The 2027 edition builds on momentum from 2026, which featured increased international participation, the inaugural RTG Global Awards, and the Pitch! showcase, highlighting both established firms and emerging RegTech innovators.

The 2027 architecture reflects the maturity of the Regulating the Game program — a global conference, an expanded awards program, and a delegate community that spans regulators, sector leaders, technology, and research across multiple jurisdictions,” said Paul Newson, Principal at Vanguard Overwatch and Founder of Regulating the Game.

  • Pillar Partners — Partners aligned with the core thematic pillars of the Regulating the Game program: regulation and policy, compliance and integrity, safer gambling, and technology and innovation.
  • Activation Partners — Partners supporting specific delegate touchpoints and experiences across the program, with visibility tied to defined activations.
