888poker Global League

Cash prizes and national pride are at stake throughout June and July on 888poker, as the Global League returns. If you have ever dreamed of flying your country’s flag at the poker tables and proving your country is the best at the tables, you need to get involved in the 888poker Global League.

The 888poker Global League revolves around four main tournaments in June and July, where your finishing place determines how many leaderboard points you receive. Those leaderboard points become vitally important throughout the Global League.

Residents of Belarus, Denmark, Kazakhstan, Northern Ireland, Romania, Russia, Sweden, and Ukraine are not eligible for this promotion

Main Tournaments

Those Main Tournaments run every Sunday at 7:00 p.m. BST, cost an affordable $5.50 to enter, and each has a $500 guaranteed cash prize pool. You earn points based on your finishing position and the number of entrants in each of these tournaments.

For example, if one of the $5.50 Main Tournaments has 400 entrants, you will earn 400 points for finishing in first place, 399 for second, and so on. Even the unfortunate soul who is the first out of the door picks up one point.

The more players who enter the weekly Main Tournaments, the more points are available, so it pays to tell your poker-playing friends about the 888poker Global League.

An extra 50 points are awarded to anyone who plays in all four Main Tournaments during a calendar month. Those extra points could prove the difference between winning one of the main prizes and falling just short of them.

Freeroll Qualifiers

Even though $5.50 is at the more affordable end of the scale, 888poker wants as many players as possible to enjoy the Global League, which is why they run six special qualifier freerolls each week.

These freerolls shuffle up and deal twice on a Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with the top 20 finishers in each freeroll walking away with a $5.50 ticket to the next available Main Tournament.

All of the freerolls are password-protected. The only way to discover the passwords is to follow 888poker’s social media channels. Passwords will be revealed every Monday on Facebook, Instagram, and via the 888poker Discord server.

Points Mean Prizes!

Although you are competing in the 888poker Global League and earning points as an individual, national pride is also at stake. Once the four Main Tournaments have crowned their champions, the top 11 players from each country will lock horns in an exclusive freeroll that only these players have access to.

  • 1st Placed Country – Access to an exclusive $3,000 freeroll.
  • 2nd Placed Country – Access to an exclusive $2,000 freeroll
  • 3rd Placed Country – Access to an exclusive $1,500 freeroll

There are some excellent prizes offered to the best individual point earners throughout the Global League, too.

  • 1st Place – Six months’ worth of tickets to a $109 Sunday major
  • 2nd Place – Three months’ worth of tickets to a $109 Sunday major
  • 3rd Place – A Main Event ticket for an online series of your choice
  • 4th Place – A $109 ticket for a $109 Sunday major
  • 5th Place – $100 worth of BLAST tickets

The buy-ins are low, but the stakes are high throughout June and July in the 888poker Global League.
