Resorts World New York City plans to begin live table games next week, awaiting approval from the NY State Gaming Commission (NYSGC). The casino will operate more than 200 table games, including blackjack, roulette, baccarat and craps, starting Tuesday. Regulators estimate the three casinos will generate $7 billion in tax revenue over next decade. Resorts World currently runs a video casino with more than 2,500 slot machines and is undergoing a major expansion that includes a 7,000-seat entertainment venue. Genting Americas East president Robert DeSalvio says NYC has never seen anything like the planned launch. The company has hired 1,250 staff for the launch, including 950 dealers, bringing total employment to over 2,200 and expected to exceed 2,700 by summer. The other proposals, Metropolitan Park near Citi Field and Bally’s in Bronx, are expected to open after years of construction. A ribbon-cutting set with Genting Chairman KT Lim and NAS.
