  • The Seattle Seahawks battle the Washington Commanders on Week 9 Sunday Night Football
  • Jayden Daniels, Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Tory Horton feature in my props article
  • See my favorite Seahawks vs Commanders player props and best bets for SNF

The Week 9 Sunday slate of games concludes with the 5-and-2 Seattle Seahawks taking on the reeling 3-and-5 Washington Commanders, who have dropped three straight. The Commanders will have star QB Jayden Daniels back after he missed last week with a hamstring injury.

There’s a lot of money to be made in NFL player props, and I’ve compiled my three favorite SEA vs WSH prop bets, below, including a touchdown-scorer bet in the Week 9 SNF odds.

Seahawks vs Commanders Player Props

Neither team is a top contender in the Super Bowl odds, with the Seahawks at +2500 and Commanders a much longer shot at +10000.

Seahawks vs Commanders Prop Pick #1: Jayden Daniels Over 7.5 Rushing Attempts

Even though he’s coming off an injury, I’m still bullish on Jayden Daniels attempting to run the ball often in this game. He’s carried the ball at least eight times in four of five outings this year, and six of eight, dating back to last postseason.

Seattle has the league’s best squad at containing running (75.7 yards per game), so I expect Jacory Croskey-Merritt to take his lumps without a ton of holes to run through. This is where some designed runs for Daniels could give the Commanders some yards, which is perfect for selecting over 7.5 rushing attempts.

For a standard wager on the Sunday Night Football affair, Chris Amberley has a fantastic Seahawks vs Commanders writeup on why he think it’s going to be a tight battle.

  • Jayden Daniels Over 7.5 Rushing Attempts (-128)

SEA vs WSH Player Prop #2: Jaxon Smith-Njigba Over 28.5 Yards Longest Reception

For my next prop, I’m going with Jaxon Smith-Njigba to have a long reception against a Commanders team that’s seventh worst in passing yards allowed per outing. JSN has 819 yards this season, most in the NFL (by 99 yards), and he’s also coming off a bye week.

He’s found great chemistry with Sam Darnold, and last contest was the first time in seven battles on the campaign that didn’t see him haul in a catch of at least 36 yards. Against a leaky pass D, I expect him to get back on the horse again and catch a long pass.

While JSN doesn’t feature in John Hyslop’s Seahawks vs Commanders same-game parlay, he does have one of Smith-Njigba’s teammates having a solid outing.

  • Jaxon Smith-Njigba Over 28.5 Yards Longest Reception (-110)

Seahawks vs Commanders Touchdown Scorer Props

Moving over to the Seahawks vs Commanders touchdown scorer props, Jaxon Smith-Njigba has the shortest odds to record a TD at -115. The player most likely to find the end zone for the Commanders is Zach Ertz at +135.

Seahawks vs Commanders Prop Pick #3: Tory Horton Anytime TD

For an anytime touchdown scorer, I initially figured I’d go with JSN, but with a -115 anytime TD pricetag, it’s not a ton of value. Cooper Kupp is expected to miss this duel, so I’ll select another WR moving up the ladder in Tory Horton. He has three touchdowns in his rookie season, and despite not hauling in a TD his last two games, Sam Darnold has given him a few 50/50 balls in the end zone that he hasn’t been able to come down with recently.

With Kupp unlikely to play, Horton stepping up would be a huge boon for Seattle, and at a price over +200, you’re getting some decent value. As always, make sure you scan our NFL betting apps to find the best odds.

Tory Horton Anytime Touchdown (+210)
