The 2025 PokerGO Tour (PGT) season is wrapping up, and the top performers on the high-stakes tour will be awarded handsomely. The top 40 players from the official PGT leaderboard — as well as Dream Seat winners — will compete in January for $1 million in freeroll money in the PGT Championship in Las Vegas.

The PGT championship will take place Jan. 12-13 inside PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas. It is the fifth edition of the event and will immediately follow the PGT Last Chance series, which gives players a final shot at qualifying.

Million-Dollar Freeroll For Top Tour Performers

The PGT Championship is available for both the top 40 players on the leaderboard and Dream Seat winners, who can win seats through special giveaways and partner promotions. Like in the previous three editions, the winner will be awarded $500,000.

Despite its brief existence, the PGT Championship already has a storied history. Slovenia’s Rok Gostisa won the inaugural edition in 2021, while top American high-stakes pros Jason Koon and Sean Winter battled it out the following year with Koon emerging victorious.

In 2023, Germany’s Daniel Smiljkovic defeated actress Arden Cho to win $500,000. Most recently, PGT Player of the Year Jeremy Ausmus defeated now-Poker Hall of Famer Nick Schulman to win $500,000, becoming the first player to win both titles in the same season.

Last year’s final table also included American pros Jim Collopy (6th – $40,000), Chris Hunichen (5th – $60,000), Dylan Weisman (4th – $80,000) and Calvin Anderson (3rd – $120,000).
