The Ottawa Senators (31-22-9) wrap up a five-game road trip Monday night in Vancouver against the Canucks (19-36-8). Ottawa beat Seattle 7-4 on Saturday to push their run to 8-1-2 over the last 11 games. Vancouver lost 3-2 in overtime to Winnipeg on Saturday and sits dead last in the NHL.

The Canucks have been gutted at the deadline, trading Conor Garland, Tyler Myers and Kiefer Sherwood and others for draft picks. This is a team openly targeting a top selection in the 2026 draft.

I’m not paying -225 on a moneyline, so the puck line is where I’m going for my Senators vs Canucks prediction. Ottawa has covered the spread in seven of its last 10 road games, and this is the exact kind of matchup where it should cash again.

The advanced numbers back it up. The Senators rank fourth in Corsi For percentage and second in expected goals percentage at 5-on-5 over their recent stretch. Vancouver is dead last in both. Ottawa’s high-danger chance share is 61.45% over the last 10, meaning they’re generating almost twice as many premium looks as they’re giving up. The Canucks are at 37.71%.

Vancouver gives up nearly 30 shots per game and has the league’s worst penalty kill at 70.27%. Ottawa’s power play is clicking at 27.6% over the last 10 games, and the Senators are outshooting opponents 30.3 to 21.7 in that stretch. Tim Stutzle is on a 12-game point streak with 10 goals in his last 16. If he keeps this pace, he’ll be the first Senator to hit 40 goals since Daniel Alfredsson in 2007-08. Ottawa has scored four or more in three straight, and I expect them to roll past a depleted Canucks team that’s 2-7-3 in their last 12.

Tkachuk is averaging 3.6 shots on goal over his last 10 and has cleared 3+ in nine of those games. He’s on a six-game point streak (two goals, four assists) and Vancouver allows 29.95 shots per game. The Sens’ captain is going to fire at will against this defense.

Cozens has scored in four straight games and has six goals with three assists over his last 10. He has 49 points on the season, with 53% of those coming on the power play — the highest rate in the NHL among players with 30-plus points.

Against the worst penalty kill in the league, Cozens should get multiple man-advantage looks. The +220 price is generous for a guy on a four-game goal streak.

Kevin Lankinen is confirmed for Vancouver with a 7-20-5 record and 3.72 GAA. He’s been on a rough run, posting a 4.63 GAA and .848 SV% over his last 12 appearances (1-8-1). His most recent start was decent (32 saves on 35 shots), but it still ended in a 3-2 overtime loss to Winnipeg.
