Brazil is now one of the most competitive and fast-moving iGaming markets. In this market, Lottu, a brand of the Esportes Gaming Brasil group, had two strategic aims: launch quickly and build a scalable business from day one.

In this interview, Olga Resiga, Chief Business Development Officer at SOFTSWISS, and Hugo Baungartner, Chief Business Officer at Lottu, share how the SOFTSWISS Game Aggregator helped Lottu go live fast, stay stable, and grow. They explain why speed to market proved decisive, and what reliable technology support looks like in Latin America.

For many people in the industry, your journey with SOFTSWISS started in a rather unusual way – winning a car at SiGMA Central Europe in Rome. How did that moment turn into a business partnership?

Baungartner: It was a fantastic moment and a genuine surprise. But actually, the car was just a celebration –  our partnership had already begun by then. By that point, we were deep into building Lottu as part of Esportes Gaming Brasil’s strategy: a fast, responsive platform customised to Brazilian players, and we chose SOFTSWISS as a gateway to the market.

Their Game Aggregator provided exactly what we needed: dozens of thousands of games in a single integration and a robust tech infrastructure.

Resiga: Brazil is one of those markets where timing can define a brand’s entire trajectory. Operators don’t have the luxury of spending months negotiating provider by provider or building content infrastructure from scratch. They need to launch fast, test quickly, and adapt continuously.

That’s exactly where the Game Aggregator creates value. For Lottu, the priority was to enter the market with strong content coverage and reliable infrastructure without losing time on operational complexity. Our role was to make that process as fast and seamless as possible.

“Speed comes from alignment”

How did the actual launch process work? What made it smooth – or difficult?

Baungartner: We opened the task to build the casino environment on 5 August. By 14 August, we started enabling the providers – nine days from start to finish. We had our soft launch that same month, followed by the official launch in September. For a full platform launch in a regulated market, that is fast.

A big part of the preparation focused on aligning the technology with the user experience we wanted. Lottu was designed around faster navigation, real-time promotions, and a personalised interface. The SOFTSWISS team understood that from the start, so we did not waste time explaining basic priorities. We aligned quickly and moved into execution.

One thing I would highlight is the importance of customisation at launch. In Brazil, the ability to adjust quickly based on player behaviour is critical. The Game Aggregator’s flexibility meant we could take off without waiting for lengthy development cycles.

Resiga: What made the launch efficient was the level of alignment between both teams from day one. Lottu came with a very clear understanding of their product vision, user expectations, and market priorities. That removes a huge amount of friction from the process. Once the priorities were aligned, the integration became a structured execution process rather than an endless back-and-forth coordination.

“Our role is to make sure technology never becomes a limitation during that growth stage”

How did the SOFTSWISS team support you during the launch phase?

Baungartner: What stood out was how structured and responsive the process was. Launching in any market is stressful, let alone Brazil with its increasingly stringent regulations and fierce competition. But the way the SOFTSWISS team worked made it feel controlled and well-planned. That’s why I say they act more like partners than vendors. And our collaboration continues daily, not just during the launch.

Resiga: For us, the launch itself is only the starting point. The real challenge begins afterwards – when the operator starts scaling, reacts to player behaviour, optimises engagement, and adapts to a highly competitive environment. Our role is to make sure technology never becomes a limitation during that growth stage. Especially in Latin America, operators need both flexibility and stability, as market dynamics can change rapidly.

“Scaling fast with the right infrastructure in place”

What’s next for the cooperation of Lottu and SOFTSWISS?

Resiga: Brazilian players respond very quickly to product updates, new mechanics, and changes in user experience. That means adaptability becomes a competitive advantage on its own. Together with Lottu, we’ll continue focusing not only on infrastructure scalability, but also on creating a product environment that allows the brand to evolve fast. This includes continuous optimisation of the player experience through stronger personalisation and better engagement tools.

Baungartner: Yes, our focus is on scaling the business while continuously improving the product. We want to strengthen our position in Brazil by offering faster navigation and stronger engagement tools. With SOFTSWISS, we have the infrastructure to support that intention.
