For the second time in five months, Stephanie Han (12-0) and Holly Holm (34-3-3) meet in the ring with the former’s WBA women’s lightweight title on the line. Han and Holm run it back in the MVPW 03 main event after an accidental clash of heads caused a premature ending to their first fight.

After fighting in Puerto Rico in January, the rematch is headlining a talent-filled fight card in Han’s hometown of El Paso, Texas.

Han and Holm each had moments of success in the first fight, making it up to either to make the proper adjustments to come out on top in the rematch. Holm took most of the early rounds by confusing the champion with her entry timing, before Han started to take over and land her right hand with consistency.

Han had nearly taken full control of the fight by the time the accidental head clash occurred and was awarded the technical decision victory. That falls in line with her status quo of struggling early before making the right in-fight adjustments to dominate down the stretch.

Han has yet to face an opponent twice, but the way she makes changes and adapts to opponents on the fly only suggests that she would do even better with a full fight camp. At 35, she is also nine years younger than the 44-year-old Holm, which gives her the edge on the semi-quick turnaround.

The champion might take a few rounds to settle in, but she will not squander this opportunity in her hometown. Look for Han to out-point Holm and win rounds as the faster boxer on the outside to retain her title in the MVPW 03 main event.

After winning the first fight, Han is unsurprisingly favored to get the job done against Holm again. The 35-year-old is a -650 favorite on Fanatics Sportsbook, giving her an 86.7 percent implied win probability.
