The Seattle Storm () visit the Las Vegas Aces () in a winner-take-all Game 3 on Thursday night at Michelob ULTRA Arena (6:30 pm PT/9:30 pm ET).

A’ja Wilson and the Aces were well on their way to a sweep on Tuesday, taking an eight-point lead into the fourth quarter before Seattle roared back for an 86-83 win. Despite the momentum Seattle will carry into Game 3, the Storm vs Aces odds heavily favor the home team advancing.

Wilson (23.4 PPG, 10.2 RPG, 3.1 APG) has point total over 24.5 again, same as Game 2, despite her 21-point output on Tuesday. She’s slightly favored to stay under that number at -120. Ogwumike (18.3 PPG, 7.0 RPG, 2.3 APG) has the highest point total on the Seattle side at 17.5 O/U, up one point from Game 2. Diggins (18.3 PPG, 7.0 RPG, 2.3 APG) has seen her point total increase from just 12.5 in Game 2 to 14.5 in Game 3, following her game-high 26-point output last time out.

Seattle Storm vs Las Vegas Aces Prediction & Picks

  • Storm +8.5 (-120) at BetMGM
  • Diggins over 13.5 (-115) at BetMGM

It’s hard for me to envision the Storm winning this game outright, knowing how dominant three-time WNBA MVP and two-time finals MVP Wilson can be, especially in the clutch. But the rise of Malonga on the interior has been a huge development. The 6’6 rookie has the size and athleticism to at least make Wilson work for her points and rebounds.

The Aces’ supporting cast – i.e. everyone outside of Wilson and Young – were familiarly lackluster in Game 2. The same issue plagued Las Vegas during their subpar start to the campaign.

The 35-year-old Diggins, a four-time All-WNBA First-Team selection, has continued her strong play from the regular season, when she was selected to her seventh All-Star Game (and first since 2022). She wasn’t nearly aggressive enough in Game 1 (11 points on 4-of-11 shooting) and made up for it in Game 2, going 10-of-20 from the field.

Even at her advanced age, she’s still likely to be the best guard on the floor tonight, and Seattle’s advantage in the backcourt coupled with Malonga’s interior presence will allow the Storm to keep it close.

BetMGM won’t allow you to put my two picks into an SGP, but you can put Seattle +8.0 and Diggins over 13.5 points in a same-game parlay with +225 odds at Caesars.
