  • We’ve got 4 playoff games on the NBA slate this Tuesday, April 25
  • That is plenty for us to put together a little parlay action we can all be proud of
  • See below for my four-leg, +839 NBA parlay for today

I have a confession to make. I’ve been sitting on a strategy for a while now. Maybe months. First quarter player points props. They’re gold. A lot of times, we don’t even need a lot of points. We’re talking about one guy to put the ball in the basket twice. How hard is that? I have another confession to make. This isn’t even my idea, really. I got it from my buddy Keith. Guy has been printing money for years now, doing this. It’s our turn now.

The only difference between the way Keith rolls and the way we’re about to get down is that we’re lining up a parlay. We’ve got to make up for all of that cash we’ve missed out on. All we have to do is find one guy from each NBA game today, and we’re all set. We throw them into a little parlay and get paid off at the end of the night. Tell me a better way to spend a Saturday. I bet you can’t. It’s not your fault, though. This is the best way to spend today, which is Saturday. Feels right. See you on the other side.

NBA Parlay for Saturday

The two legs of this ambitious NBA parlay spit out +839 odds at FanDuel, meaning a $100 bet would profit $839 if both legs hit.

NBA Parlay Leg #1 – Paolo Banchero Gets Us Started

Obviously, we’re going to have to cash our first play of the day to keep this train moving. Nobody wants to be assed out after their first bet. What that means for us is, we just have to find a guy that we know for a fact we can trust.

That guy is Paolo Banchero. He is a certified Playoff Riser.

Here’s the thing with first-quarter points: we have to have guys who are going to come out firing. We can’t afford to have a guy out there just standing around. Paolo won’t be just hanging around. He’s gone for 5+ points in the first quarter of both games of this series so far. On top of that, he’s gone for 5+ in six straight games before that. We can trust this guy. Feels right.

NBA Parlay Leg #2 – Dillon Brooks Isn’t Afraid To Shoot

We’re now in the early afternoon, with one win in our pocket, but we can’t get complacent. If we want to still be chasing this parlay into the night, we’ll need a guy from the Phoenix Suns/Oklahoma City Thunder game to get us there. That’s just how parlays work.

Lucky for us, Dillon Brooks is on the Suns, and he isn’t afraid to shoot the ball.

Honestly, I’m not a Dillon Brooks guy. I’m not afraid to say it. That’s just how much I want to win this thing. I’m willing to take guys I don’t even like to get us home. With that being said, Brooks is the right move to drop at least four points. He’s coming off a seven-point first quarter in Game 2, and even though he only scored three points in the first quarter of Game 1, he still took a million shots. My guess is the shot volume will stick around in Game 3. He’ll get us at least four in the first quarter today. Feels easy.

NBA Parlay Leg #3 – CJ McCollum Gets Loose

Now we’ve got a little momentum going for ourselves. We’re two legs down, foot on the throttle, and the books know we’re in charge. It’s a great place to be, especially since now we’re looking at the evening games. Remember, it’s Saturday and the night is young.

The smartest thing we can do in a situation like this, where we’re looking to keep momentum, is to take a guy who has all of the momentum. A guy like CJ McCollum.

We all saw CJ’s late-game heroics, but he’s getting it done in the first quarter as well. So far in this series, he’s gone for at least 5+ points in the first quarter in every game. The only thing I don’t love is the fact that he comes out after the first five minutes or so. Not to fear, he comes back with two to three minutes left to take care of any points he left on the table. Last game, he scored five points in the last two minutes of the first quarter, so he can work quickly if he needs to. Feels right.

NBA Parlay Leg #4 – Jaden McDaniels Can Close This Thing Out

By now it’s nighttime and we need to just end this thing. There is no need to get cute and take one of the superstars to have a big quarter. We can’t get cute at a time like this. The books are on the ropes. We know it, they know it, the players on the court know it. It’s knockout time.

The perfect guy for the kill shot in this thing is Jaden McDaniels. He has absolutely no respect for the Nuggets’ defense.

Is Jaden a scorer? Not really. He’s more of a defensive, do-it-all type, but if he has to put it in the hole, he will. Especially early. So far in this series, we’ve seen him go for 9+ points in the first quarter in two of the three games. He plays for 9+ minutes in the first frame, so there is ample opportunity. I’m thinking the Nuggets keep focusing on Anthony Edwards, giving Jaden a chance to get loose. We only need him to drop it in the bucket two times, and this thing cashes. Feels easy.
