The black SUV rolled into the casino valet at 2:13 AM. Rain slammed the windshield while Brettski stared at the duffel bag sitting between him and Robby in the backseat. Inside was $87,000 in cash.
“Tonight changes everything,” Robby muttered.
Brettski laughed nervously. “Or ruins everything.”
The second they walked into the high-limit room, people started staring. The minimum blackjack hand was $5,000. A dealer with icy blue eyes welcomed them like she already knew their names.
First hand.
Blackjack.
+$7,500.
Second hand.
Split aces.
+$18,000.
Within twenty minutes, Brettski was up over $60,000. Robby was screaming, random gamblers were filming on their phones, and cocktail waitresses kept appearing out of nowhere like ghosts.
Then the dealer changed.
An older man in a black vest quietly sat down. No smile. No introduction. Just one sentence:
“You boys should leave while you’re ahead.”
Robby thought it was hilarious.
So they doubled the bets.
$15,000 a hand.
The room went dead silent.
Brettski got dealt two queens against a dealer six. Robby slapped the table. “BRO THIS IS IT!”
They both doubled down.
The dealer slowly revealed his cards.

Ten…
Five.
The table exploded. Chips everywhere. Brettski was now over $140,000 profit.
That’s when security walked into the room.
Not one guard.
Six.
And behind them was the casino manager holding an old photo.
He placed it on the blackjack table without saying a word.
Brettski looked down and felt his stomach DROP.
The picture showed HIM and ROBBY standing in the exact same casino…
