The Cromwell, a well-known boutique hotel on the iconic Las Vegas Strip, is set to undergo a major transformation. The hotel, which is currently operated by Caesars Entertainment, will soon be rebranded as The Vanderpump Hotel, marking the first venture into the hotel business for reality TV star and entrepreneur Lisa Vanderpump. This exciting renovation will see the hotel, which has operated since 2014, transition into a chic, upscale property reflecting Vanderpump’s signature style, with a grand reopening expected in early 2026.
A New Identity on the Strip
The transformation process will begin in mid-February 2026, with all hotel rooms taken offline starting February 15. As renovations take place, the hotel’s casino floor and Giada, the sole restaurant on the property, will remain open to guests. Caesars Entertainment has stated that the hotel will be ready for bookings again by April 13, 2026, though an official announcement regarding the exact reopening details has not yet been made.
The rebranding is part of a strategic partnership between Vanderpump and Caesars Entertainment. This collaboration follows the success of several other Vanderpump-branded ventures, such as Vanderpump Cocktail Garden at Caesars Palace, Vanderpump à Paris at Paris Las Vegas, and Pinky’s by Vanderpump at Flamingo. The new venture, which will be the third rebranding for this corner of the Strip, will infuse Lisa Vanderpump’s renowned design aesthetic into every aspect of the hotel, bringing her vision to life.
Lisa Vanderpump, known for her passion for hospitality and design, has spoken enthusiastically about the project, calling it an extraordinary opportunity to develop the iconic property into something unique and playful. Through her design firm, Vanderpump Alain, in collaboration with designer Nick Alain, she promises to breathe new life into The Cromwell, enhancing its spaces with bespoke furnishings and fixtures. The renovated hotel will feature an updated check-in area, central bar, and lounge, alongside redesigned suites and guest rooms.
The new concept will focus on “sexy elegance and comfort,” blending luxury with a fresh atmosphere. The rooms will offer a new look, with 19 redesigned suites described by Vanderpump as “attainable luxury.” According to Caesars, as reported by Las Vegas Review-Journal, the hotel will introduce a newly designed casino floor that will complement its upscale vibe, promising a unique experience for visitors.
“We’re excited to collaborate on this project that not only transforms our hotel but also changes the Las Vegas Strip,” said Terrence O’Donnell, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the property. “Lisa Vanderpump’s strong style and passion for hospitality are unmatched, and her signature aesthetic will bring something completely new to this iconic Las Vegas location.”
Vanderpump’s Expanding Empire
The transition from The Cromwell to The Vanderpump Hotel represents a significant moment in Vanderpump’s expanding business empire. This marks her first hotel venture, building on her success in the restaurant and nightlife industries. “Hospitality has always been our passion,” said Vanderpump. “We can’t wait to breathe new life into this property and make it something truly magical.”
The new hotel is expected to attract both visitors to the Strip and fans of Vanderpump’s work, offering a one-of-a-kind experience that will set it apart from other hotels in the area. The newly renovated space will feature custom-designed pieces that reflect Vanderpump’s flair for creating high-end, stylish environments that appeal to both the playful and sophisticated sides of her audience.
The property’s history dates back to 1979, when it first opened as the Barbary Coast, later becoming Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall and Saloon in 2007 before being rebranded as The Cromwell in 2014. Each rebranding has sought to elevate the hotel’s status, and the transition to The Vanderpump Hotel represents the culmination of a long process to redefine the property and its role on the Las Vegas Strip.
Despite the significant renovations, a few elements will remain in place during the transformation. Notably, the property’s namesake restaurant, Giada, will continue to operate during the makeover, providing guests with an upscale dining experience while the hotel undergoes changes.
