- The Oklahoma City Thunder look to take a 3-0 series strangehold on the Phoenix Suns Saturday, April 25th
- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s assist total is a market I’m looking to exploit in the NBA player props
- See the odds for all the players props in this critical Game 3 in Phoenix
The Western Conference First Round rolls on as the Oklahoma City Thunder hit the road to clash with the Phoenix Suns. Tip-off is scheduled for 12:30 PM PT / 3:30 PM ET on Saturday, April 25th at the Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix. The duel will be broadcasting live on NBC and Peacock in the United States and TSN in Canada. I’m searching for success in the NBA Player Props market for this skirmish.
I am closely eyeing this tilt after the Thunder won the first two battles by margins of 35 and 13 points. The NBA odds have them as clear favorites yet again. Oklahoma City will be navigating the hardwood without star wing Jalen Williams, who is missing his first game of the series due to a hamstring strain.

Thunder vs Suns Player-Prop Picks
Pick 1: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander OVER 6.5 Assists (-165 at bet365)
With Jalen Williams operating as the secondary playmaker out of the lineup, Gilgeous-Alexander is going to monopolize half-court facilitation. Shai is 2-0 versus a passing line of 6.5 assists in this series, and he’s put up at least seven dimes in six straight duels.
Williams leaves behind 5.0 assists per game and a phenomenal 5.00 Assist-to-Turnover ratio. Gilgeous-Alexander already holds a staggering 37.2% usage rate. Matched against a Phoenix defense yielding 26.0 opponent assists per night and a generous 124.4 Defensive Rating, Shai will carve them up. I am confidently slamming this over.
Pick 2: Dillon Brooks OVER 16.5 Points (-110 at Sports Interaction)
While the Phoenix offense looks disjointed, Dillon Brooks is their most aggressive scoring threat thus far in the series. Brooks has gone over 16.5 points in both postseason games (18 and 30 points), and has 17+ points in four in a row and five of six vs the Thunder.
With Devin Booker and Jalen Green fighting severe ball security issues – Green has coughed up ten turnovers in two games – Phoenix is forced to lean on Brooks to finish possessions. Against an elite Oklahoma City defense forcing 20.5 turnovers per game, the home team will rely heavily on Brooks’ isolation scoring to stay afloat.
OKC vs PHX Key Injuries
The Thunder suffered a massive blow when Jalen Williams was ruled week-to-week with a hamstring strain. The confirmed absence of Williams completely alters Oklahoma City’s offensive distribution. His absence forces the scoring and playmaking burden to heavily consolidate around Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren, driving up their usage and making their prop totals highly attractive. Also, Thomas Sorber remains out for the season with a torn ACL.
For the Suns, Mark Williams is officially out with a lingering foot injury, thinning an already vulnerable frontcourt. This provides a clearer path for Holmgren to exploit second-chance opportunities on the glass. Additionally, Jordan Goodwin is day-to-day with a calf issue.
