theScore Bet and the Canadian Football League announced a new multi-year partnership on the heels of the gaming operator’s launch into Alberta.
The Canadian Football League (CFL) and theScore Bet’s new partnership designates the gaming operator as an official authorized gaming operator and official sports betting and online casino partner of the football league in Ontario and Alberta. The CFL and theScore Bet announced the partnership one week after the launch of Alberta sports betting apps in the province.
“The CFL occupies a special place in Canadian sports culture, making this a natural partnership for theScore Bet and theScore,” Justin Hergianto, Vice President of Marketing, PENN Interactive, said in a press release. “As Canada’s Sportsbook, we’re proud to partner with Canada’s League to create more connected experiences for fans. Whether they’re following scores and breaking news in theScore, managing their fantasy team or placing a bet through theScore Bet, we’re making it easier than ever for fans to engage with the CFL throughout the season.”
Official Betting Partner
Through the new partnership, theScore Bet is now an official sports betting and online casino partner and an official authorized gaming operator of the CFL. Additionally, theScore, the company’s sports media app, will expand its relationship with the CFL across North American through expanded content, fan engagement, and digital experiences.
The partnership also includes integrated betting odds, scoreboard sponsorship across CFL.ca and LCF.ca, broadcast and in-stadium branding, digital media activations and contests, throughout the CFL’s upcoming season and 113th Grey Cup in Calgary.
The scoreBet is now the presenting partner of the all-new CFL Fantasy game and the new CFL mobile app launching this upcoming fall.

Partnership Caps Alberta Launch
The new CFL and theScore Bet partnership comes a week after theScore Bet’s launch into Alberta’s regulated sports betting and iGaming market. Five the CFL’s nine clubs now play in provinces where theScore Bet operates.
The Alberta Gaming, Liquor, & Cannabis Commission on Monday, July 13, ushered in the province’s regulated online sports betting and iGaming market nearly after provincial lawmakers approved a bill to regulate both.
Major sports betting companies, such as DraftKings Alberta, bet365 Alberta, FanDuel Alberta, theScore Bet Alberta, Caesars Sportsbook Alberta and BetMGM Alberta, successfully launched in Alberta’s regulated sports betting market.
