First pitch is scheduled for 2:10 PM ET / 11:20 AM PT at Daikin Park. This game is set up as a pick’em in the MLB odds, with Detroit featuring the strong starting pitcher this season. Tuesday, Houston won for the first time in their last six against Detroit, taking it 4-2.

Tigers vs Astros Picks and Predictions
- The Pick: Astros Moneyline (-104 at FanDuel)
- MLB Player Prop Pick: James Outman Under 0.5 Hits (-133 at DraftKings)
I am backing the Astros Moneyline (-104) as my primary game projection. Houston holds a notable offensive advantage over Detroit, boasting a .728 team OPS compared to the Tigers’ .709 mark.
Houston starter Peter Lambert has allowed three or fewer runs in eight of his ten starts on the campaign. The Astros are third in the majors with 98 home runs (compared to Detroit being 17th with 81). The Astros are 15th in average and Detroit 25th on the season as well. Give me the slight underdog value for this one.
For the MLB player props, my selection is James Outman Under 0.5 Hits (-133). Outman is hitting a dismal .151 this season, struggling mightily. He was just claimed off waivers from the Twins, and hasn’t had a hit in eleven of twelve outings.
