Tim Pool Eliminated From 2026 WSOP Main Event

One of the more recognizable faces in the 2026 World Series of Poker Main Event. is no longer in contention for the $10 million top prize after conservative commentator and podcast host Tim Pool was eliminated late on Day 2d.

With late registration closed and the field trimmed heading toward Day 3, Pool’s Main Event came to an end after a spirited short-stack comeback was halted by the best starting hand in poker.

Pool, who has more than 2.6 million followers on X, returned for Day 2d with 94,300 chips after successfully navigating Day 1d. He briefly climbed to around 105,500 before suffering a major setback, later posting on social media that he had run two pair into a set.

The cooler left Pool with just 9,000 chips, seemingly destined for an early exit. However, over the course of the final level, Pool fought his way back to 96,000, giving himself a genuine chance of surviving the day.

Despite being one of the biggest names in the field, Pool wasn’t seated on one of the feature tables. Instead, he spent the session battling away in the Horseshoe Blue section.

Pool Runs into Aces

The hand that ended Pool’s Main Event was captured by PokerNews’ Connor Richards.

Action folded to Loren Klein, who opened to 4,500 from the cutoff. Pool responded with a three-bet to 10,000 from the button before Liyang Pang moved all in from the small blind for approximately 73,000. Klein quickly folded, and Pool called off his remaining stack.

Pool had run into the best possible starting hand, picked up outs on the 10♠7♠2♣ flop after flopping the nut flush draw.

“Sweat,” shouted Pool ahead of the 7♣ turn coming onto the felt.

“Come on,” Pool told the board, but it was followed by a “son of a b*tch” after the the 2♥ river failed to improve his hand.

“You got me, nice playing with you guys,” said Pool, as he and his trademark black beanie were both eliminated from the 2026 WSOP Main Event.

How Much Poker Does Tim Pool Play?

While better known for his online presence than his poker résumé, Pool is no stranger to the game. He has frequently shared his interest in poker and has appeared in streamed cash games.

In October, he played a $5/$10 no-limit hold’em cash game at The Lodge Card Club in Texas, finishing the session $7,100 in the red.

According to The Hendon Mob, Pool cashed in a poker tournament for the first-time in February, finishing in third place for $3,511 in a $500 Freezeout at the 2026 Potomac Winter Poker Open. It remains his only recorded tournament cash.
