3 to 2 is a very important pay ratio to learn. There are other games that typically use this pay ratio as well.
Figuring out a 3 to 2 pay ratio is pretty simple. However; it isn’t always easy.
You simply need to determine what half of the bet is, then add that number to the original amount of the bet.
For example:
$35 Bet
$35 / 2 = $17.50
Then just add that $17.50 to the original amount of $35.
$35 + $17.50 = $52.50!
So $35 pays $52.50!
It is easy on the surface but you will notice quite quickly that even though the concept is simple, there are many bets you will see where getting your answer will not be so easy.
In those instances, we need to learn how to break a complicated bet into its simpler components.
For example:
The bet is $579
Break the bet into its simpler components;
– $500
– $70
– $9
Starting with $500:
$500 / 2 = $250
$500 + $250 = $750
Next is $70:
$70 / 2 = $35
$70 + $35 = $105
Last is $9:
$9 / 2 = $4.50
$9 + $4.50 = $13.50
All we have to do now is combine our answers either in our head, or bring out each component’s payment separately, then combine everything:
$750 + $105 + $13.50 = $868.50!
This is a skill that requires practice. The more practice you get, the easier it will be to get your answers and find the fastest solutions with minimal math.
Speaking of minimal math, there are very important 3 to 2 payments that you should memorize because of the frequency in which they occur. The list is as follows:
$15 = $22.50
$25 = $37.50
$35 = $52.50
$75 = $112.50
$90 = $135 (bonus one)
$150 = $225
