Where you sit at a blackjack table is a debated topic in the game… but here’s the truth:
Seat position does NOT change the math of blackjack.
In a standard 6–8 deck shoe, your expected value (EV) remains the same no matter where you sit. First base, middle, or third base, none of these positions give you a mathematical edge.
The only slight exception is in double deck. But even then, the advantage is minimal and not something most players can realistically exploit.
