N1 Partners has wrapped up its six-week N1 Sport Promo campaign held alongside the FIFA World Cup 2026, with SEO, ASO and Facebook being the top-performing traffic sources for affiliates working with sports betting and prediction markets.

The campaign, which ran from June 10 to July 20, offered increased payouts based on the volume of acquired first-time depositors (FTDs). Canada, Germany and Australia were the top-performing markets, while N1 Bet was the best-converting brand. Lucky Hunter and RollXO also participated in the promotion.

Reviewing the campaign, Daria Smirnova, Affiliate Team Lead at N1 Partners, said affiliates that adapted quickly to the sporting calendar achieved the strongest results.

“The most effective traffic sources were those that allowed affiliates to quickly adapt to the sports agenda,” said Smirnova. “SEO performed well with users already interested in specific matches, Facebook made it possible to rapidly scale campaigns around trending sporting events, while ASO helped attract more users during periods of high demand for apps.”

Match- and tournament-specific creatives delivered the strongest results,” she added.

Smirnova said one of the most common mistakes affiliates made was failing to align campaigns with current sporting events.

The biggest issues were weak alignment with current sporting events and generic creatives used instead of materials tailored to specific matches. The faster affiliates update their content during major tournaments, the more effectively they can capitalize on peak demand,” commented Smirnova.

She also advised affiliates to prepare campaigns before major sporting events.

It is essential to prepare for major tournaments in advance. Keep track of key matches, plan your creatives ahead of time, and update your content promptly. An event-driven approach helps scale betting traffic more effectively,” she added.

Separately, N1 Partners said its product analytics team found player engagement increased as the FIFA World Cup progressed into the knockout stages, with decisive matches generating higher betting volumes and a larger share of live betting activity.

The Spain versus Argentina final generated the highest player activity during the tournament, while the France versus Spain and England versus Argentina semi-finals ranked among the most discussed matches and attracted some of the highest volumes of live bets.

According to the analysis, the average bet size during the semi-finals was approximately 30% higher than during the group stage. Match scheduling also affected engagement, with fixtures played at more convenient times attracting more users than some late-night group-stage matches.

N1 Partners said affiliates should continue engaging players after major tournaments, prepare acquisition funnels for future events, use cross-promotion between sports betting and prediction markets, and focus on long-term player retention beyond periods of peak demand.
