The Top Gun Experience is moving to a new site on the Las Vegas Strip after developers acquired land for the attraction. Advent Allen Entertainment has purchased a 2.48-acre site at 4815 South Las Vegas Boulevard to build the multi-use venue in partnership with Paramount. The project was previously planned for a location near The STRAT Hotel, Casino, and Tower, but creators have now redirected their efforts further south along the gaming corridor.
The revised location sits right next to the Pinball Hall of Fame, just south of Mandalay Bay and north of the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign. The property fronts Las Vegas Boulevard and backs directly onto Harry Reid International Airport. Developers note that the nearby runway activity provides an authentic aviation backdrop that matches the planned Hangar 2 architecture of the Top Gun Experience.
Scheduled to open in 2028, the venue will transform the film franchise into an interactive destination featuring attractions, retail shops, and thematic dining. Guests at the Top Gun Experience will be able to visit the Hard Deck restaurant and bar, which was prominently featured in the 2022 blockbuster sequel Top Gun: Maverick. Additional flight simulators and interactive exhibits are planned to put visitors inside the world of high-speed naval aviation.
Advent Allen Entertainment co-founders Bill Allen and Mark Advent, who previously created the New York-New York Hotel, stated that securing the land marks a major development milestone for their company. Paramount executives also expressed strong support for the venue, noting that the franchise has entertained global audiences for nearly four decades. The film series starring Tom Cruise as Pete Maverick Mitchell reached new commercial heights when the 2022 release earned approximately $1.49 billion at the global box office, representing a major portion of theatrical revenue with strong attendance figures exceeding 100% of initial industry projections.
The development team believes the unique setting will attract both tourists and local residents seeking movie-themed entertainment along the Strip. Positioned in a growing sports and entertainment corridor near future stadium developments, the Top Gun Experience aims to deliver an immersive flight-centered environment for visitors. Further details regarding specific rides, ticket pricing, and architectural renderings for the attraction will be released as construction progresses toward the planned 2028 launch.
