Though it’s nearly the end of July, we are just past the halfway point of 2026 when it comes to US iGaming revenue data.
Not all seven of the legal online casino states have reported their June revenue as of yet, but the three major markets of Pennsylvania, Michigan, and New Jersey have.
That gives us a good indicator of where the industry is at compared to 2025. With half of a year’s data now in the books, it looks like iGaming’s record-setting pace isn’t stopping anytime soon.
Where Top 3 Online Casino Markets Sit In 2026
While there are seven legal US online casino states, three of them account for about 90% of the revenue each month and year.
Pennsylvania, Michigan, and New Jersey are the three creating the most revenue from online casino gambling and they continue to see impressive numbers in 2026.
Collectively, these three states have brought in about $5.27 billion in iGaming revenue for 2026. With the addition of the other four states, online casino revenue is over $6 billion through six months of 2026. That puts the country on pace to average over $1 billion per month for the year, and over $12 billion altogether.
Online Casino Revenue Up 16%
It’s one thing to look at the numbers and feel the iGaming industry is in good shape, but it’s another thing when you compare each of the three states to where they were at a year ago at this time.
Between these three industry leading states, revenue is up over 16% through the first six months of 2026. That has led to about $740 million more in revenue, which means these three states along will garner well over $1 billion more in revenue through iGaming in 2026 when compared to 2026.
While the revenue continues to increase in all three states, it isn’t quite increasing at the same pace.
Pennsylvania online casinos remain the iGaming leaders when it comes to bringing in revenue, but its growth rate is the lowest of the three at just over 13%. Through six months, it has brought in about $210 million more than it did last year.
Michigan online casinos are seeing the biggest growth rate year-over-year. Michigan has improved its revenue by over 22% while collectively drawing in about $330 million more.
That is a big reason why Michigan has been able to close the gap on Pennsylvania somewhat for the revenue lead. June marked the closest Michigan has been to PA, with just a $1.9 million difference in iGaming revenue.
New Jersey online casinos are seeing 15% growth year-over-year, with about $200 million more generated thus far compared to 2025. New Jersey is firmly in the third spot of these three states, but not likely to threaten to move from that spot in the future.
No Sign of iGaming Peaking in Any State
While we may be seeing some slowdown in the growth rates of iGaming revenue, it’s still far from hitting its peak for any of these three states.
Michigan is certainly not slowing down, and recent additions of Hard Rock Casino and bet365 Casino are leading to a big boost in monthly revenue numbers.
Pennsylvania and New Jersey still consistently put up monthly revenue records, and the last months of each year tend to be the strongest for each of these three states.
It’s certainly not out of the question for Pennsylvania to push for $4 billion in online casino revenue in 2026. Michigan online casino revenue isn’t likely to be far off, with the potential to finish anywhere from $3.7-$4 billion.
New Jersey will easily clear $3 billion in revenue for the year for the first time in its history, likely being closer to $3.3 billion when 2026 concludes.
