The World Cup group-stage slate on Thursday, June 18, features Czechia vs South Africa (12:00 pm ET in Atlanta), Switzerland vs Bosnia and Herzegovina (3:00 pm ET in Los Angeles), Canada vs Qatar (6:00 pm ET in Vancouver), and Mexico vs South Korea (9:00 pm ET in Zapopan).
I ran each matchup through Sportradar’s A.I. prediction model and it spat out its top +EV pick for each game. The table below summarizes the picks and best odds. Under the table, I have reproduced the A.I.’s rationale in full.
World Cup Computer Picks Today (June 18)
Fort the first time all tournament, the A.I. has returned four plus-money picks on the same day.
The model is 10-10 (-0.28 units on one-unit wagers) after the first 20 games of the 2026 World Cup.
CZE vs RSA Computer Pick: South Africa Under 0.5 Goals (41¢)
A.I. Explanation: “The strongest angle is fading South Africa’s attack at 41¢ (+144) on the “No” side of its over 0.5 team-total contract.
South Africa generated only three total shots and one corner in its opener, and the personnel picture is worse here with Themba Zwane and Sphephelo Sithole suspended.
Czechia were not flawless defensively in their first match, but the matchup points to long South Africa spells without clean service into the box. Buy the shutout angle at 41¢ instead of the much steeper price for Czechia to win (55¢ or -122).”
SUI vs BiH Computer Pick: Switzerland -1.5 (37¢)
A.I. Explanation: “Switzerland to win by more than a goal is priced at 37¢, which is +170 in American odds.
Switzerland’s straight win market is priced efficiently at 63¢ against my 62.3% projection. The Swiss were more dominant in their first match against Qatar than the 1-1 scoreline suggests: 70% possession, 27 shots, and 10 corners.
Bosnia managed 40% possession and eight shots in its first match against Canada, and Haris Tabakovic is listed as doubtful. If Switzerland’s pressure converts at a more normal rate, the 37¢ spread contract is the better upside play than paying for the Switzerland moneyline at 63¢ (-170).”
Canada vs Qatar Computer Pick: Qatar +1.5 Goals (48¢)
A.I. Explanation: “Canada is the clear favorite, but the market is asking for a multi-goal win at 53¢ (-113). The better position is “No” at 48¢ (+108), which cases if Canada fails to win by two or more goals.
Canada has still yet to win a World Cup game in its history and talisman Alphonso Davies is listed as doubtful. Qatar’s opener was poor — just 30% possession and five total shots — but this contract does not require Qatar to get a result. A one-goal Canada win, a draw, or a Qatar upset all cash the 48¢ ticket.”
Mexico vs Korea Computer Pick: Draw (26¢)
A.I. Explanation: “A draw is the cleanest value in Mexico vs Korea Republic at 26¢ (+285), with the model showing a 29.1% probability of a tie before accounting for the game-state incentives. Both teams won their openers and are virtually assured of a spot in the 32-team knockout stage with a single point. Neither side has to chase recklessly.
Mexico is missing Cesar Montes and Julian Quinones is doubtful, which reduces the certainty of another clean home win for El Tri. At 29¢, the draw is the best +EV bet in this matchup.”
