After both Texas and Georgia won their respective Super Regionals series in two games over Oregon and Mississippi State, they meet to begin the double elimination round of the College World Series. Both squads are highly thought of in the College World Series odds, as the Bulldogs are the favorite to win it all, with the Longhorns sporting the second shortest odds.

First pitch is scheduled for 8pm ET / 5 pm PT from Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska, with ESPN providing the broadcast coverage. Below, you’ll find the latest Texas vs Georgia odds, plus my favorite picks for this showdown.

Texas vs Georgia Odds

Odds as of June 12 at Kalshi. Make sure you use SBD’s exclusive Kalshi bonus code to score a bonus to bet on College Baseball.

As of Friday, Kalshi is listing Texas as a 53 cent favorite, which is the equivalent of a -113 favorite in traditional sports betting terms. Georgia comes back as a 48 cent underdog (+108), and is catching 1.5 runs on the runline. The total over/under is 11.5 runs at DraftKings.

I’ll be backing the Bulldogs to pull off the upset in this game, which would help solidify them as the favorites to win the College World Series.

Texas vs Georgia Picks and Predictions

  • Georgia Moneyline (48¢ at Kalshi)

It’s been 18 long years but Georgia has finally made its way back to the College World Series. The #3 team in the country has been brilliant this season, going 51-12, and they went 3-0 in the Athens Regional, then won both games in the Athens Super Regional. The Bulldogs lived up to their nickname against Mississippi State, winning a barnburner slugfest 13-12, then escaped with an 11-9 victory in ten innings.

Players to watch out for are catcher Daniel Jackson who mashed 31 home runs, 86 RBI and an eyepopping .396 batting average on the campaign, en route to the SEC Player of the year.

Georgia leads the nation with a whopping 2.86 home runs per game, consistently crushing the baseball. For the campaign, they totaled 180 long flies, compared to their counterparts, who had 77 fewer homers. Shortstop Kolby Branch hit a pair of dingers in Game 2 of the Super Regional.

Their ace is Joey Volchko, who went 10-2 on the season with 104 strikeouts, and a 4.07 ERA. He’s expected to be called upon for this duel against Texas. This is going to be a tight battle, but I like the value on wagering for the squad that’s the favorite to win the CWS, yet are the underdogs in this contest.

As for Texas, they defeated Oregon 11-3 and 6-5 to make the CWS, and went 45-13 on the year, second behind Georgia in the SEC. This will be the Longhorns’ 39th appearance in this tournament, the most of any team, but their first in four years.

Texas is incredibly balanced, and can go toe-to-toe with any team with their pitching depth. They rely on ace Dylan Volantis, who gave up just two runs vs the Ducks in the Super Regional with ten punchouts in 5.1 innings. For the season, the southpaw had a dominant ERA of 2.03, so the Bulldogs will be in tough.

In their lineup, Aiden Robbins was outstanding, crushing 24 HR and 64 RBI with a fantastic .342 batting average, and he hit four homers during regional play. This is great hitting vs great pitching, but I just like the value of the underdog Georgia squad against Texas for this one.
